Day 3 (Let there be concrete!)

The concrete has been poured! And let me just tell you, concrete makes all the difference. The yard really doesn't look that bad to me now that the pads are all in place. I told the crew today that it looks beautiful. I'm sure they think I'm crazy. (And who says they're wrong?)

We put Blue in the kennel in the laudry room this morning so he wouldn't leave puppy footprints all in our new concrete. At lunch I tried to walk Blue and let him relieve himself. He was so interested in what the crew was doing, he didn't want to walk. (Not to mention that it's 105 degrees outside. Seriously.) He wanted to sit under a tree and watch them. That would be fine any other day, but today, since it's 105, I wanted to go back inside. In the air conditioning. That dog is just like his mama - crazy. When I finally got the stubborn animal back inside, he laid down on the kitchen floor and wouldn't move.

He's not an inside dog, so I wasn't about to leave him with free reign of my house. No telling what that destructive creature would do. Anyway, a few slices of turkey later, I got him in his kennel. Whew!

Here are some pictures I took at lunch...

They'll start putting up the building on Monday. I can't wait to see it all finished!
