Happiness is...

Well, I got a 4.0 in my class last semester, but my overall GPA is still below a 2. No chance for scholarships with a GPA like that! I thought I'd never see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. However, a very helpful (and also anonymous) faculty member has nominated me for the honors program, which will make me eligible to compete for several scholarships available to only honors program participants. Thank you, Anonymous Faculty Member. Your nomination is very much appreciated! I am humbled by your faith in me!

Time Off

Well, it's been a while. (What's new?) Since I last wrote, I've officially received an "A" in the class I took Spring Semester! I am thrilled beyond words. I am also enjoying my summer off from school. After finals in May, I took a vacation with my parents and Leyden. We went to Orlando (Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios) and Daytona Beach. Orlando was exciting, Daytona Beach was relaxing. We really enjoyed ourselves. Now, we're having a great time enjoying the summer. My brother moved to the lake, and we are planning on spending a few hours hanging out there, enjoying the sun and water. Leyden is preparing for her first ice skating competition that will take place in July. I'm having fun getting her dress and costume together. It really brings out the creative side! We are also excited about our biggest news of the year so far - Brad has quit his "day job" and is doing pools full time! So far, he has been busier than ever. We are grateful to our regular customers who have been so supportive of Brad's business. I'll try to write again soon... but I won't make any promises since I know I'm going to be busy enjoying the summer!!!
