It's Monday... Again!

I'm back from vacation. It was great, but I was ready to be back home. I didn't mind coming to work this morning, either... I guess I really do like my job! Leyden started summer camp this morning. She is going to like it, I think. They take field trips every week, and swim once a week. She is growing too fast! Have a great Monday!

This Monday's Like Friday!

I'm excited because today is like a Friday... I'm going on vacation in the morning and will be gone until Saturday. Woo hoo! We're going to the Smokies. I can't wait!

I am finally getting the house in order since we moved. The living room is looking less like a storage facility and more like a living room every day! I got all the Christmas and Easter boxes moved to a corner in the bonus room out of the way, and I unpacked several boxes and threw away LOTS of trash! I am so proud of myself! (Throwing away anything is against my nature.) The guest room still has lots of boxes stacked along one wall, but they are neatly stacked, so I don't mind them so much. Leyden's closet is full of unpacked boxes, because I am waiting for a time when she isn't at home to go through all of them and THROW AWAY (there are those words again!) a lot of her old stuff. If she hasn't missed it in five months, she won't miss it when I throw it away. The bonus room is full of boxes, but they are neatly stacked against the walls and Brad can get to his weight bench, too.

It's Friday!

I am so excited it's Friday! Today was Leyden's last honors program in 1st grade. I didn't get to go because I'm going to be off four days next week to go to the Smokies with Mom and Dad, my brother (Scott) and Leyden. Mom went, though, and she called me and said Leyden got all A's in her subjects as well as in conduct!!! We are so proud of her! We are going to have a busy weekend, but I am looking forward to it because I will only work ONE DAY next week and then I'll have a REAL vacation. (My vacations lately have been centered around conferences... it's fun, but I can't wait to SLEEP IN!) Hope you have a great Friday!

I'm a Copy Cat!

I had to do just like everyone else and create a blog! Mine is entitled Life in the Kountry, because I was raised in the city and moved to the country when I married three and a half years ago. (Country is spelled with a "k" because that is the first letter in my first name.) My adjustment to the country life has included many adventures and hysterical mishaps that I will try to tell you about in the future. For now, I'll just try to fill you in on what's going on at the present time. I hope you enjoy reading about life in the kountry!
