Leyden and I went to the orthodontist today. I got a new wire (maybe the last one!), and Leyden got rubber bands that connect her top and bottom jaw; we're both pretty sore.
Part of our conversation as we sat on the couch tonight:
Leyden: I feel sorry for you.
Me: Why?
Leyden: You have braces.
Me: So do you!
Leyden: Well, I feel sorry for myself, I just don't announce it.
