This year we'll have a great Celebration Week. Tomorrow night, Brad, Leyden and I are going to dinner with my parents at my favorite Mexican restaurant. Friday morning, Leyden and I are leaving for a weekend in Savannah, Georgia. (I am attending the NALS Region 4 Conference, and Leyden will just be along for the ride.) We are counting on having some fun in Savannah, since neither of us have been there before. Next Tuesday, the three of us will meet all the grandparents, and some of Leyden's aunts and uncles, for dinner at Leyden's favorite restaurant, a Chinese buffet with hibachi grill. Since Leyden isn't having a birthday party this year, we decided to meet one night for dinner and cake so everyone can celebrate this milestone birthday with Leyden.
Birthdays are such joyful occasions... celebrating the gift of life that God has given us, and counting the blessings that He has showered us with along the way! I am thankful this year for good health, a roof over our heads, good jobs for both me and Brad, a good husband, and a sweet daughter. God is good!
