Well, it's been a LONG while since my last post, and I decided that Christmas is the perfect time to start blogging again.
We had a wonderful Christmas. We had a huge fire blazing in the fireplace to ward out the cold winter air that was blowing outside. All of the grandparents came to the house on Christmas day to see what Santa brought. We had brunch, and it was really nice to have everyone over on such a special day!
I was really surprised by all of the gifts I received from my family, and I am grateful that I have such a loving family. My parents have always been very good to me, and I have the most amazing husband in the world. While some people have monsters-in-law, and I have two wonderful mothers-in-law (one from my first marriage who is still very dear to me) who truly are blessings to me. My extended in-laws are great, as well.
Now that we've dug out from the gift wrap and boxes, I'm busy working on essays to submit with scholarship applications. I'm going back to fininsh my bachelor's, and school starts for me on January 12th.
Leyden starts a new school on January 4th. We pulled her out of public school and she will be attending the Academy. She is very excited, as her best friend from last year is in her class at the Academy. She has really missed Katey.
